Basketball Recap: Bodine Falls Despite Big Games from Nigeir Fisher and Kiair Ancrum-Thomas

Bodine lost against Germantown Friends back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bodine lost 69-47 to Germantown Friends. Bodine was down 57-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, Bodine had strong showings from Kiair Ancrum-Thomas, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds, and Nigeir Fisher, who posted 18 points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave Ancrum-Thomas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Munir Herbert, who put up six points and five rebounds.

Bodine dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Germantown Friends, they moved to 1-3 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Bodine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-50 defeat against Central on the 7th. As for Germantown Friends, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-52 win against Paul Robeson on the 7th.
