Basketball Preview: Boyd County Spartans vs. Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades
The Boyd County Spartans will face off against the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Boyd County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Boyd County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-53 win over Ainsworth. With that victory, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Boyd County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cash Sinclair, who went 10 for 19 on his way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those 24 points gave Sinclair a new career-high. With the win, Boyd County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-4. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Boyd County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Chambers/Wheeler Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory.
