Oak Ridge entered their tilt with Powell on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-2. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Oak Ridge's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Richie Ferreira, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Ferreira also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Oak Ridge's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Powell, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-5.

Oak Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against Powell: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
