Virgin Valley had won eight straight road games dating back to last season and Dallin Moeai did his part to make it nine on Wednesday. Virgin Valley blew past Valley 3-0 thanks in part to Moeai, who had nine digs and five aces. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in aces.

Virgin Valley never let Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy Cadence lost 3-0 to Mater Academy East Las Vegas on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

While Pinecrest Academy Cadence ultimately came up short, they really made Mater Academy East Las Vegas work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-16.

With the win, Virgin Valley broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Virgin Valley took their victory against Pinecrest Academy Cadence in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Virgin Valley repeat their success, or does Pinecrest Academy Cadence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
