Football Recap: Southern Guilford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Southern Guilford had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 37-0 loss at the hands of the Asheboro Blue Comets. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Blue Comets are ranked 106th).

As for Asheboro, their win bumped their record up to 7-3. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 26.1 points per game.

Dallas Brinton was his usual excellent self, rushing for 80 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Dj Scott, who picked up 34 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

As of now, neither Southern Guilford nor Asheboro have any future games scheduled.
