            Football Recap: Northwestern Warriors vs. North Union Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Northwestern was the  9-7 winner over North Union when they last played one another  back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell  28-20 to the Wildcats on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 North Union's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Nick Vanhoose, who rushed for 156 yards and two  touchdowns. That's the most  rushing yards  Vanhoose has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Wyatt Arver, who rushed for 69 yards and one  score on only nine carries.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Union, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will face off against Benjamin Logan at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for North Union, they will take on Shawnee at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Braves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.63  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
