Soccer Game Preview: South Pointe vs. Richland Northeast

The South Pointe Stallions will face off against the Richland Northeast Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Pointe's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Richland Northeast heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when South Pointe took over last week. The Stallions had just enough and edged out Lewisville 3-2.

Meanwhile, Richland Northeast hadn't done well against York recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cavaliers who were credited with the win. Richland Northeast got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to York's three.

Richland Northeast's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7. As for South Pointe, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
