Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Takes a Loss

Vanguard extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 7-14. They lost 3-0 to the Forest Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Forest, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 12-8. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0).

Forest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Owens, who had nine digs and three aces. Sarah McDonnell was another key player, getting four aces and three digs.

Vanguard has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Belleview on the 2nd. As for Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Meadowbrook Academy on the 2nd.
