Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Takes a Loss

The Plainfield Central Wildcats came up short against the Geneva Vikings on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Plainfield Central couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Geneva a tough time in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 33-31, 25-21.

Milo Nelson paced Plainfield Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Nelson got some help from Vincent Trevino and his 14 assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Plainfield Central's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Geneva, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Plainfield Central has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Yorkville on the 8th. As for Geneva, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Wheaton North on the 6th.
