Volleyball Recap: Southern Beats Trimble for Their Third Straight Win

Southern had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trimble Tomcats. The Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tomcats, too.

Southern not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Trimble between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Trimble lost, don't look at Alyvia Portier. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and two assists. Portier is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Southern's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Southern has already played their next game (against Wahama), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Trimble, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Nelsonville-York on the 23rd.
