Kettle Run has gone a perfect 3-0 against Meridian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Kettle Run is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Kettle Run came up short against Skyline and fell 7-3.

Leah Trible made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that she launched this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Meridian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Rock Ridge by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday.

Elena Clark-Wilson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Clark-Wilson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Valeria Wright, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meridian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Kettle Run, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Kettle Run took their victory against Meridian in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
