Eastern Tech took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Dulaney, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mavericks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lions 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Mavericks: when they faced off against the Lions back in March, they had to take a 12-4 defeat.

The win made it two in a row for Eastern Tech and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Dulaney, they moved to 10-2 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Eastern Tech will square off against Severna Park at 10:00 a.m. on the 19th. As for Dulaney, they will take on La Plata at 12:00 p.m. on the 19th.
