Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McDowell). They put the hurt on the Asheville Cougars with a sharp 21-3 victory on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the contest before.

McDowell now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Asheville, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. McDowell is set to face off against their familiar foe North Buncombe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.1, the Black Hawks 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Asheville will square off against rival T.C. Roberson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
