Volleyball Recap: Forge Christian Takes a Loss

Forge Christian lost against Riverdale Ridge back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Fury lost 3-0 to the Ravens. The Fury have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 25-7.

Forge Christian's offense was headlined by Joey Shelton and Dennis Blinov, who picked up two kills apiece. Blinov really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with three.

Riverdale Ridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Lee, who had 12 digs. Lee has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times he's played. Riley Lo was another key player, getting 11 assists and five digs.

Forge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Riverdale Ridge, their record is now 8-5.

Forge Christian has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Severance on the 3rd. As for Riverdale Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Fossil Ridge on the 3rd.
