Uwharrie Charter Academy had won two straight games and Nevaeh Staples did her part to make it three on Friday. The Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 49-43 W against the Southwestern Randolph Cougars thanks to Staples, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Naimah Al-Arif, who posted ten points and seven assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Uwharrie Charter Academy's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Southwestern Randolph, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 25-1.

As of now, neither Uwharrie Charter Academy nor Southwestern Randolph have any future games scheduled.
