Bredan Byrne, Wayland's leader in runs on the season, led the team again on Monday. Byrne was dynamite, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Wayland's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Byrne's strong effort led Wayland over Thornapple Kellogg and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans are limping into the matchup having lost four straight on the road dating back to last season.
