Upper Moreland won the last time they faced Hatboro-Horsham and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hatters 2-1.

Gavin Shaffert tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, Bryce Fuller was excellent, going 3-for-6 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Chase Moore, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Upper Moreland's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Hatboro-Horsham, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Coming up, Upper Moreland will be playing in front of their home fans against Cheltenham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Bears 3.3, the Panthers 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hatboro-Horsham, they will challenge Harry S. Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
