Recap: West Side Pirates vs. West Jefferson Panthers
The West Side Pirates were the 46-44 winner over the West Jefferson Panthers when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. West Side took a 44-30 bruising from West Jefferson on Saturday.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tommi Henderson, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Holly Kropf, who scored six points.
West Side has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for West Jefferson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Side is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Bear Lake at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Bear Lake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Side in Idaho (Bear Lake is ranked 18th, while West Side is ranked 109th). As for West Jefferson, they will head out on the road to face off against Salmon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
