Softball Game Preview: San Diego Vaqueros vs. Taft Greyhounds

For the second straight game, San Diego will face off against Taft. The Vaqueros will host the Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

San Diego is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Taft 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Vaqueros, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Taft's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josette Aparicio, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Aparicio has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

San Diego is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Taft, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-12.
