Basketball Recap: Crossland Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crossland can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Fairmont Heights Hornets and fell 73-38. The Cavaliers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

It was another big night for Jordan Blackmon, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 20 points in addition to five boards and five steals for Fairmont Heights. That's the most steals Blackmon has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of DeVonte Dyson, who shot 63% from the field en route to 15 points and four steals.

Crossland's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Fairmont Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Crossland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairmont Heights, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 91-75 defeat against Largo on the 4th.
