Keamaura Robinson commands the offense for Eagles win

Recap: Columbia Eagles vs. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers

Make it ten blowout wins for the Columbia Eagles this season. They put the hurt on Eagle's Landing Christian Academy with a sharp 53-30 win on Friday. Given Columbia's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Eagle's Landing Christian Academy is ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keamaura Robinson led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals. Robinson hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kerserlin Anderson, who scored 12 points along with five steals.

Despite the defeat, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Natasha Smith scored four points along with two steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Columbia and bumps their season record up to 13-5. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Columbia will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Towers at 6:00 p.m. Towers is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Redan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Redan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
