It was a good run, but Contra Costa Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Making Waves Academy Marlins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marlins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Making Waves Academy scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18.

Contra Costa Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Making Waves Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Contra Costa Christian has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against California Crosspoint on the 25th. As for Making Waves Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Summit Tamalpais on the 24th.
