Recap: Butler Bears vs. Atherton Ravens
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Butler Bears, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They suffered a tough 21-0 defeat at the hands of Atherton on Friday. Butler lost against Atherton in their previous head to head back in September, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 20-6 score last time.
Mike Curry was on fire for Atherton: he rushed for 252 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Curry's longest rush was for an incredible 97 yards.
Butler's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Atherton, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Atherton will be playing at home against Owensboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Owensboro is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
