Fruita Monument had to settle for second on Wednesday, but Josh Weaver sure wasn't going down easily. Weaver pitched two innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. The performance marked the fewest hits he has had since back in March.

Weaver and Fruita Monument will host Durango at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Weaver's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Wildcats' ten-game streak of wins on the road.
