Montgomery skates past Georgetown with ease

Recap: Montgomery Tigers vs. Georgetown Bulldogs

The Montgomery Tigers won the last time they faced the Georgetown Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Montgomery breezed by Georgetown on the road to the tune of 54-8. That looming 54-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Montgomery yet this season.

Montgomery's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but A Manson led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six assists and six steals. Manson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of K. Wyatt, who scored 17 points along with three steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Montgomery and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Georgetown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.

Montgomery will be playing in front of their home fans against Buckeye at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckeye is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Georgetown, they will square off against Claiborne Christian at TBD on Tuesday. Claiborne Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
