Softball Recap: Caesar Rodney Comes Up Short

Caesar Rodney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Sussex Tech Ravens. Surprisingly, this marked the Riders' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Caesar Rodney's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sussex Tech, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caesar Rodney will square off against Delmar at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Riders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sussex Tech, they will challenge Laurel at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
