Silas extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Sonja Strom. The Rams walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Capital Cougars on Thursday with plenty of help from Strom, who had 14 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

While Silas might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Capital scored at least 22 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Silas' win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Capital, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season.

Silas and Capital could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Silas will face off against North Thurston at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (108 vs. 3). Meanwhile, Capital (ranked 199th) will meet Central Kitsap (ranked 37th) at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
