Desert Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over Santa Rita on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Desert Christian in their matchups with Santa Rita: they've now won five in a row.

Aimee Lloyd and Alexa Yarger did most of the damage at the plate: Lloyd went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Yarger went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Lloyd has posted since back in March of 2024. Lilly Crawford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Horizon Honors beat Santa Cruz Valley 6-3 on Thursday.

Horizon Honors' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Desert Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.

Desert Christian might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Horizon Honors in their previous matchup back in March of 2023.
