Volleyball Recap: Triway Takes a Loss

Triway suffered their biggest loss since August 21st on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Fairless Falcons. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Triway was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Fairless' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Mia Mariola paced Triway's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mariola got some help from Taylor Mathis and her 29 assists. Finally, Pyper Hamilton kept Triway's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Triway's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 15-6. As for Fairless, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Looking ahead, Triway will head out on the road to take on Dalton at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairless, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Edison at 6:00 p.m.
