Hermiston is a perfect 10-0 against Pasco since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Hermiston will look to defend their home court against Pasco at 7:00 p.m.

Hermiston is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Chiawana just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Riverhawks by a score of 3-2. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Riverhawks 25-15 in the first set.

Hermiston wouldn't go down easily and took Chiawana into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-16, 25-18, 24-26, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Pasco had to endure an 11-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Sageview 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since September 9th.

Pasco had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-11.

Pasco's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-11. As for Hermiston, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Hermiston took their win against Pasco when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Does Hermiston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pasco turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
