Volleyball Recap: Loyola Takes a Loss

Loyola managed to slip by Mira Costa the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Loyola came up short against Mira Costa on Friday, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cubs were not able to get on the board.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Mira Costa scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.

This is the second loss in a row for Loyola and nudges their season record down to 12-3. As for Mira Costa, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loyola will square off against Huntington Beach at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mira Costa, they will take on El Segundo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
