It was a good run, but Coquille unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dayton Pirates. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Coquille's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Dayton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Coming up, Coquille will venture away from home to challenge South Umpqua at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dayton, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Crosshill Christian on the 4th.
