Basketball Recap: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Granville Central Panthers
The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 48-36 to Granville Central. While losing is never fun, Durham School of the Arts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Panthers are ranked 162nd).

The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Harrington, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Durham School of the Arts has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Granville Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durham School of the Arts will square off against the at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Varsity Opponent is out to stop a 13-game streak of losses at home. Granville Central will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Louisburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
