Recap: Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions vs. Henderson Collegiate Pride

The Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Henderson Collegiate by a score of 26-13. The win was just what Excelsior Classical Academy needed coming off of a 54-4 defeat in their prior matchup.

Excelsior Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Arihanna Williams, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Williams grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shadimond Francis-Service, who scored five points along with five steals.

Excelsior Classical Academy's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Henderson Collegiate, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Excelsior Classical Academy will take on Eno River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Henderson Collegiate, they will head out on the road to challenge Vance Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Vance Charter presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Henderson Collegiate in North Carolina (Vance Charter is ranked 198th, while Henderson Collegiate is ranked 617th).
