While Independence put up plenty of  runs on Tuesday, the same  can't be said for Fairview. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp  11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won nine matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Sam Crooks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Anderson Jolliffe, who  fired off two  home runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs while going 3-for-4. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Ronin Tschetter was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Independence was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairview only posted a  batting average of  .000.
Independence's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Independence will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
