It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sylmar can now relate to. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bell Eagles who were credited with the victory on Saturday. The Bell Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Sylmar Spartans' three. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Sylmar's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Bell, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Sylmar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bell, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against San Luis Obispo on the 4th.
