Baseball Recap: Madison Finds Home Field Redemption Against Maranacook

There's no place like home for Madison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Maranacook Black Bears by a score of 5-2 on Friday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Black Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Owhen VanGordon was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Madison back to even at 1-1. As for Maranacook, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Madison is set to face off against their familiar foe Mountain Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Maranacook will square off against rival Winthrop at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
