Football Recap: North Mason Drops Season-High Score on Bremerton + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Mason). They put the hurt on the Bremerton Knights with a sharp 49-28 victory on Thursday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Danner Jones, who rushed for 84 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 115 yards on only eight passes. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Jones was just one part of a punishing run game: North Mason was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 370 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 185 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

North Mason's defense stepped up as well, laying out Buda Sorensen three times. Leading the way was Jones with two sacks.

North Mason's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.3 points over those games. As for Bremerton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

North Mason didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-15 loss against Olympic on the 24th. As for Bremerton, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-0 win against Port Angeles on the 24th.
