Basketball Recap: Peabody's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Peabody has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 67-49 bruising from the Westview Chargers on Tuesday. The Golden Tide were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.

Peabody's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-4. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Peabody and Westview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Peabody (ranked 52nd) will meet Gibson County (ranked 215th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Westview will challenge Milan at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st up 222 places (149 vs. 371).
