Soccer Recap: Anderson Falls to Yorktown in First Game of Season

Anderson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Yorktown Tigers on Wednesday, falling 9-0. Anderson were not able to make up for their loss to Yorktown from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Yorktown now has a winning record of 2-1.

Anderson didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Lafayette Jefferson on the 23rd. As for Yorktown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 9-0 loss against Greenfield-Central on the 27th.
