Springfield Catholic waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 55-48 win over the Buffalo Bison. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Bison are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Buffalo's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blair Abraham, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. Braden McGregor was another key player, putting up 13 points and six assists.

Springfield Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Buffalo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Springfield Catholic nor Buffalo have any future games scheduled.
