Football Recap: Tecumseh Savages vs. Bethany Bronchos
Tecumseh extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 3-6. They came up short against the Bethany Bronchos, falling 49-28. The matchup was a close 21-20 at the break, but unfortunately for the Savages it sure didn't stay that way.

When it comes to explaining why Tecumseh lost, don't look at Wyatt Dodgion. Despite the final result, he threw for 286 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground. As for Bethany, they moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethany to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody McLaren, who rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 206 yards and one TD while completing 76.9% of his passes. What's more, McLaren racked up 143.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Bethany's leading receiver Seth Greiner was McLaren's top target yet again, picking up 164 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 31 yards and one touchdown.
Tecumseh didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-26 loss against Ardmore on the 7th. As for Bethany, they have also already played their next game, a 57-0 win against Madill on the 7th.
