Baseball Recap: Neshannock's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Neshannock and Freedom Area squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Neshannock had to settle for second. They fell 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The game marked the first time this year in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

Jake Rynd put in work no matter where he played. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

With the defeat, Neshannock broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-5. As for Freedom Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
