Basketball Recap: Legacy Comes Up Short

Legacy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Abilene Eagles, falling 54-34. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-39 back in January.

Legacy's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Abilene, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Legacy will face off against rival Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Abilene is set to challenge their familiar foe Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
