The Mundy's Mill Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Salem Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mundy's Mill is looking for their season's first win.

Mundy's Mill is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of McNair by a score of 69-66 last Saturday. Even though they lost, the Tigers' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 51 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Despite the defeat, Mundy's Mill had strong showings from Collen Woods, who went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc en route to 19 points, and Christopher Johnson, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Tyson Triplett, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Salem, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past Eastside with a 52-48 victory on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Seminoles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mundy's Mill's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Salem, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Mundy's Mill ended up a good deal behind Salem in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, losing 61-47. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
