If Scituate was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of North Smithfield on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Tolman Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Travis Howman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of David Hanson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Scituate's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Tolman, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Coming up, Scituate will square off against North Smithfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Tolman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
