Softball Recap: Scio Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Dayton

Scio faced Dayton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Loggers fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Loggers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Scio fell to 17-1. As for Dayton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Scio wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-0 victory against Amity on the 6th. As for Dayton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-1 win against Santiam Christian on the 6th.
