Volleyball Recap: Lake Station Edison Takes a Loss

Lake Station Edison lost against Hammond Central back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fighting Eagles fell 3-1 to the Wolves. The Fighting Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 21-25, 25-18.

Amari Smith paced Lake Station Edison's offense, picking up 11 kills. Smith got some help from Lillian Kroledge and her 25 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lake Station Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Hammond Central, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.

Lake Station Edison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Hebron on the 14th. As for Hammond Central, after both having extra time off, they and Munster will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. on the 18th.
