Soccer Game Preview: North Pike vs. Florence

North Pike is 0-5 against Florence since January of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The North Pike Jaguars will be playing at home against the Florence Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Pike's offense. They came up short against South Jones on Tuesday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Braves are ranked 25th).

Despite a strong season so far, Florence has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 6-3 to Sumrall on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 4-1.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for North Pike, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
