Volleyball Recap: Bishop Gorman Takes Down Ranked Durango

Bishop Gorman faced Durango in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Gaels were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trailblazers. The win continues a trend for the Gaels in their matchups with the Trailblazers: they've now won eight in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Sienna Gostanian, who had eight digs and five aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Gostanian wasn't the only good servers: Bishop Gorman was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durango only served four.

Bishop Gorman's record is now 26-8. As for Durango, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-16.

Bishop Gorman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Coronado on the 16th. As for Durango, they will head out on the road to square off against Arbor View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
